Mabuhay (Welcome) To Philippines Virtual Guide

Hi, my name is Nemia & I would like to welcome you to my website. I am a 32 yearold Filipina married to Steve (the one that built this site for me), isn’t he an angel hehehe.

The reason why Steve built this site for me was mainly because we both wanted to try and help promote the Philippines as a tourist spot & to try and provide information for people wishing to visit our beautiful country.

When Steve first came here, he had a lot of trouble trying to find info on Surigao (which is where I am from), as he said there was plenty of info on Manila, Cebu or Boracay, but hardly anything could be found for Surigao & the surrounding area. The same is probably true of many of the smaller cities & outlying areas, therefore we hope that this website will address this situation & help increase tourism not just to places like Manila & Cebu, but for the entire Philippine Islands.

Anyway let me just spend a few moments explaining to you the different features of this website & how to use them. Ok first of all, this website is called Philippines Virtual Guide, it is made up of not just the main site, but also our ”Living In The Philippines Forum“. 

Not all pages have been added at the moment, but work is ongoing to continue adding more & to create a library of information covering many different  aspects of life here in the Philippines.

Menu Bar 

Along the top of the page you will notice a menu bar with various headings, these are pages of information categorized by each heading & are intended to help give you a little background on the Philippines & also the people that live here.

Side Bar

To the right you will notice the sidebar,

this has a list of categories to posts, clicking on a “Category” will open all posts within that category.

Above categories, there is “Recent Posts” this lists the  most recent posts irrespective of their category.

Please select the category “Members Pages” to see an example of how posts, pages, articles & adverts are displayed on these pages.

If you scroll a little lower, there are Links & Site Links etc;

City Links will take you to additional City Virtual Guide sites, where the information & any advertisments will be specific to that city & the surrounding area.

Site Links are for links within this particular website eg. the Living in The Philippines Forum  , our Philippine Map Index & of course the link to the main site Philippines Virtual Guide. There are also links to special pages for Advertisers, Contributors & Partners. We are also discussing the possibility that we may add a Chat program to this site in the near future, so that link would also be placed here.
